ATTORNEY (NEW GRADUATE)

Description:

Haxel Law, a rapidly growing plaintiff’s law firm headquartered in Springfield, IL, is seeking an Attorney to join our legal team as we expand. 

We seek an energetic Personal Injury Attorney for our Personal Injury and Workers’ Compensation practice areas.  Candidates must be self-motivated with the ability to multi-task and possess excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Learn the skills to:
  • Handle personal injury and workers’ compensation cases from start to finish.
    • Evaluate potential personal injury claims and provide legal advice to prospective clients 
    • Draft, review, and modify claims, motions, discovery responses, demand letters, pleadings, subpoenas, and other legal documents.
    • Research case law and gather insurance policies, medical expenses, medical records, and other evidence relevant to the case.
    • Communicate with clients, expert witnesses, insurance company adjusters, supporting witnesses, and medical providers to gather information.
    • Negotiate suitable agreements and settlements on the clients’ behalf
    • Represent the client at hearings, trials, mediations, depositions and litigation
    • Document and update the status of all case files in the case management system

Qualification Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) and Illinois state bar membership

Requirements:

  • Ability to listen and communicate clearly and compassionately with our clients
  • Case management skills including an aptitude for managing and prioritizing multiple clients and deadlines
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize appropriately

We seek an energetic Personal Injury Attorney for our Auto Accident Personal Injury and Workers’ Compensation practice areas.  Candidates must be self-motivated, with the ability to multi-task and possess excellent communication skills.
